Quick Jabs: Just Another Way To Inject Emotion

Like your advice in quick doses, like your annual flu shot?

To inject a little more emotion into your emails, try these super-quick cures.

The doctor is in…and ready to jab your writing into fine shape.

1. Feel It.

Lead with emotion. Write from something, not just about something. Start where it hurts, tickles, or confesses.

2. Say It.

Say the thing no one else is saying. Ditch the fluff. Name what’s awkward, unspeakable, or obvious-but-ignored. That’s where your reader leans in.

3. Script It.

Build on tension, so readers can’t help but keep scrolling. Use rhythm, surprise, and contrast. Each sentence should make them want the next one.

4. Spark It.

End with a spark. Land with insight, a punchline, a gut-pull, or a question they carry with them all day.

5. Ask It.

Invite real connection. Ask for a reply. Share a story. Create a moment of mirror—not a moment of marketing.

That’s it.

No templates. No overthinking.

Just consistent intimacy with your reader.

(And a lifetime of good health, writing and otherwise.)
